The Vipères Zone!

Full-time students at Collège Boréal’s various campuses have access to a sports centre in their respective regions during the school year.

Location

The Boréal Sports Centre is located on the first floor of the Sudbury campus.

Hours of operation

Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Gymnasium availability varies depending on scheduled classes and College activities.

Programming

The Sports Centre offers students, employees, and members of the public a variety of sports and recreational activities that support an active, healthy lifestyle.

Whether you compete or play just for fun, you’ll find a welcoming environment that promotes teamwork, fitness, and participation. Members can also enjoy group fitness classes, such as yoga, circuit training, and hip-hop dance, led by certified instructors who make every session engaging and effective.

All members, including members of the public aged 16 and older, can register for the following activities:

  • Running Club
  • Open Gym
  • Drop-in Sports
  • Drop-in Pickleball

Want to improve your racquet skills? The Badminton Club helps you build agility, focus, and teamwork. Whatever your skill level, you can sharpen your game in a friendly environment.

The weekly activity schedule is displayed on the screen at the Sports Centre.

To book a pickleball court, the squash court, or a cardio machine, visit the Boréal Sports Centre page on the Mon Boréal portal. Members of the public can book by calling 705-560-6673, ext. 6005.

The Facilities

Work out at your own pace with our modern equipment: cardio machines, strength-training stations, and free weights. Change rooms, lockers, and showers are also available.

The Sports Centre also features a modern 6,000-square-foot gymnasium with a FIBA basketball court, an OVA volleyball court, and four badminton or pickleball courts. You can also use the squash court to build agility, coordination, and endurance.

Whether your goal is to build strength, improve endurance, or reduce stress, you will find a welcoming environment for all fitness levels.

The gym can be booked for sports activities and events.

Not a member? No problem! Day passes are available at an affordable rate, so you can join in too.
