Photos with the President and Group Photos

A professional photographer will be on site to immortalize this very special moment. They will take a photo of you on the stage when you receive your diploma from the president as well as a group photo at the end of the ceremony. The photos will be available from an internal Collège Boréal site; only graduates (as well as staff) will be able to access it.

To find and download your photo, please follow the following steps:

  1. Click on the following link: https://monboreal.sharepoint.com/sites/remises. If necessary, log into your student account (username and Boréal password).
  2. Click on the location (and time) of your convocation. You will only have access to those photos taken at your convocation ceremony.
  3. If your campus held more than one ceremony, choose the correct time.
  4. Find your photo and download it.
  5. Should you have any difficulties, write to us at services.informatiques@collegeboreal.ca.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will my ceremony take place?

The ceremony schedule is available on this page, under the Dates section.

Do I need to confirm my presence?

You must confirm your attendance so that we can reserve your gown.

Eligible* graduates will be invited by email to fill out a registration form. If you do not receive this invitation before mid-March (spring ceremonies) or mid-August (fall ceremonies), please contact us.

*Students who expect to complete their studies (including placement) between September 1st and April 30th will receive an invitation to attend the spring convocation ceremonies. Students who expect to complete their studies (including placement) between May 1st and August 31st will receive an invitation to attend the fall convocation ceremonies.

Can I attend the ceremony if I have an outstanding balance on my account?

Yes. You may attend the ceremony even if there is an outstanding balance on your account. However, you must pay the full balance before receiving your diploma or any other official documents from the College, including your transcript.

Can I choose to participate in a ceremony taking place on another campus than where I studied?

Yes, but certain conditions may apply for ceremonies taking place in Sudbury. You may choose from the list of graduation sites provided in the registration form. Changes will not be possible after May 1st (for spring ceremonies) or October 1st (for fall ceremonies).

I am an international student, and I must submit a letter to the federal IRCC department to obtain a travel permit for my graduation ceremony. How can I get this letter?

Collège Boréal no longer provides invitation letters for family members living abroad. If the visitor’s country of origin requires them to obtain a temporary resident visa (TRV) for entry into Canada, it is up to that person to submit an application following the guidelines provided by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. In some cases, the letter may need to be notarized. The following documents may be included with the application:

  • A copy of emailed invitations
  • A proof of enrolment (BAR-025) if you are still studying
  • A graduation confirmation letter (BAR-025B) if you have completed your program

Family members who cannot attend in person will be able to join virtually (live) or watch a recording online at any time. The links to the livestream will be posted on the Collège Boréal website prior to the ceremonies. For any questions, please visit the IRCC website or contact Boréal International.

How many people can I invite to my graduation ceremony?

The number of guests you can invite depends on the potential number of graduates and the number of seats available. The maximum number of guests per graduate for each campus is listed on this page, under the Dates section. Seats will be reserved for graduates who have confirmed their attendance via the registration form. Seats are not reserved for guests: first come, first served.

Loved ones who cannot join you in person will be able to do so virtually (live) or view the recording online at any time. Livestreaming links will be published before the ceremonies on this page.

A professional photographer will be on site to immortalize this very special moment. They will take a photo of you on the stage when you receive your diploma from the president as well as a group photo at the end of the ceremony. The photos will be available from an internal Collège Boréal site (see Photos section).
