General Arts and Science Program
Collège Boréal’s General Arts and Science Program delivers a versatile education focusing on developing skills in communication, critical thinking, and problem solving, preparing students to pursue graduate studies or enter the workforce in various fields. It features a variety of courses in fields such as social sciences, natural sciences, languages, and the arts, providing a solid foundation for academic and professional development.

Full Description
This program is intended for students who wish to acquire a general college education while exploring a variety of subject areas. Students are introduced to a variety of fields of study and concepts so that they can choose a specialization or receive customized training to meet their specific needs. They can choose from among a wide range of courses offered at Collège Boréal. Each semester, students meet individually with the program advisor to discuss future course selections in keeping with their career goals.

Semester 1
Ce cours permet à l’étudiante ou à l’étudiant d’améliorer ses aptitudes à parler, à lire et à écrire. L’accent est mis sur les techniques de communication liées à la vie personnelle ou professionnelle. L’organisation de la pensée, l’art de l’expression, la lecture et la qualité de la langue sont des éléments fondamentaux de ce cours. Par le biais d’activités d’apprentissage variées, les étudiants sont encouragés à promouvoir et affirmer leur identité francophone tout en perfectionnant leurs habiletés de communication en français. (3 crédits/42 heures)
