Varsity Soccer – Vipères Program
Collège Boréal’s varsity soccer program gives athletes the opportunity to compete in an environment that promotes skill development, teamwork, and athletic excellence, with the support of qualified coaches.
The first outdoor soccer teams will be formed in August 2026 for an exhibition season. The Vipères will officially begin competing in women’s and men’s outdoor soccer in the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) in the 2027-28 season.

Coaches
Mata Boboy - Head Coach, Men’s Soccer Team
Mata Boboy is a certified soccer coach (B Licence) and sports leader committed to the development of athletes and coaches. Head coach at Collège Boréal and former technical director of the Greater North Soccer Association, he is known for his leadership, inclusive approach, and high standards.
With extensive experience as both an athlete and a coach, he promotes performance and well-being while giving every player opportunities to grow. Mata fosters collaboration, discipline, resilience, and empathy among the players on his team. His goal is to create an environment where athletes can thrive, refine their skills, and receive constructive feedback.
Natalie Chénier - Head Coach, Women’s Soccer Team
Natalie Chénier is an experienced soccer coach with more than 15 years of experience in sport and education. At Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon, she coached numerous teams and created inclusive environments focused on athletes’ overall development. This approach helped teams qualify for several OFSAA championships and achieve many tournament successes.
Natalie is known for her ability to motivate, guide, and inspire diverse teams while emphasizing excellence, respect, and commitment. Her coaching philosophy focuses on athletes’ overall development and combines technical progress, personal growth, and enjoyment of the game. She fosters an inclusive and supportive environment where every player is encouraged to challenge herself, develop independence, and contribute to a team culture built on respect, collaboration, and commitment.
Boréal Soccer Identification Camp
Students in Grades 11 and 12 who plan to attend Collège Boréal are invited to take part in our Identification Camp.
This first stage will give athletes an opportunity to:
- Meet our staff and coaches
- Be evaluated by our coaches
- Learn about the Vipères athletics program and the college environment
- Showcase their skills as candidates for our competitive teams

Tryout Camps – August 2026
The tryout camps are part of the Vipères team selection process. They allow the coaching staff to observe athletes in game situations and continue building the teams for the exhibition season.
Athletes must attend all sessions to receive a complete evaluation.
