These funds will be donated to the Collège Boréal Foundation to finance scholarships that will increase access to quality post-secondary studies in French.

Close to 130 golfers gathered yesterday at Sudbury’s Timberwolf Golf Club to participate in Collège Boréal’s Sixth Annual Alumni Golf Tournament. Thanks to the generosity of those in attendance, including community partners, employers and Boréal students, the event raised $49,350 in cash and in-kind donations for the Foundation.

This year, the Collège Boréal Foundation awarded more than 2,300 scholarships to the institution’s students, for a total of more than $1.4 million. This amount is supplemented by equipment donations and new internship opportunities that will enhance the student experience and bolster the employability of Boréal’s graduates across the province.

Collège Boréal is particularly grateful to its partners who, through their generous contributions, support quality post-secondary education in French across the province. For Collège Boréal, excelling in a fulfilling range of programs tailored to the job market only makes sense if this education is accessible to as many people as possible. In this regard, this event, organized by individuals who have benefited from it, is as important as it is inspiring.
This annual event is not only an important fundraiser for our students, but also a unique networking opportunity where they can develop their interpersonal skills and make valuable connections for their future professional careers.
