Collège Boréal Appoints Nicole Dubuc-Charbonneau as Dean of its School of Health Sciences

With nearly 20 years of experience in post-secondary teaching and governance, Nicole Dubuc-Charbonneau will support Collège Boréal’s efforts to strengthen and expand its French-language health program offerings.

Nicole Dubuc-Charbonneau holds a PhD in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa and brings nearly 20 years of experience in teaching, management, and health program development. Her experience at Collège Boréal, with the Consortium national de formation en santé (CNFS) and in academia has helped her develop strong expertise in leadership, quality assurance, partnership management, and student success.

As Director of Support Services in the Office of the Vice-President, Academic — a position she had held at Boréal since 2022 — Dubuc-Charbonneau contributed to numerous institutional initiatives related to teaching quality, academic planning, project management and the continuous improvement of programs and services offered by the College.

A recipient of several scholarships and awards, and recognized for her rigour and in-depth knowledge of the post-secondary sector, Dubuc-Charbonneau also brings to her new role a strong commitment to student success and excellence in teaching. She began serving as Dean of Collège Boréal’s School of Health Sciences on July 20, 2026.
