Your course schedule will vary depending on whether you are a full-time or part-time student. How many hours you spend in class depends on your program and your status as a student. Collège Boréal’s classes are generally held Monday to Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 10 p.m., but specific programs may have a different schedule. You may have classes to attend in the morning, afternoon or evening, and you may even have a free day.
Courses offered by Boréal Online combine two learning modes: synchronous (in real time) and asynchronous (on-demand mode). Synchronous sessions take place via Zoom, a web conferencing tool that allows for real-time exchanges between teachers and students. These web conferences are held weekly or biweekly, depending on your program. In addition, they are offered in the evening to accommodate those who work during the day. It is your responsibility to make yourself available to attend your classes.
Remember that your class schedule will change from one semester to the next, so anticipate this change!
Collège Boréal strives to minimize schedule changes once they are posted on the portal. However, unavoidable situations may affect your class schedule. We thank you for your patience and cooperation and apologize for any inconvenience.
About online courses
Boréal Online Courses
- Boréal’s online courses have two components:
- Live sessions with school personnel that are included in your schedule.
- Asynchronous sessions that are not included in your schedule. It is your responsibility to get through these sessions at your own pace and to respect the deadlines.
Other online courses
- Some online courses, such as general education, French, English, and Microsoft Software classes are not in your schedule because they do not occupy a specific timeslot. In other words, these courses do not require a specific time for contact with school staff.
- These courses start at the same time as the others, but it is your responsibility to take these courses at your own pace, making sure you meet the start and end dates.
- To ensure your success, you must meet the courses’ requirements and deadlines to avoid failing grades.
- These courses must be completed before moving on to another course or another semester of your program. You should also be aware that, should you need to retake them, you may have to pay additional tuition fees.
At Collège Boréal, the student records specialists are responsible for overseeing the academic progress of students from registration to credential granting.
Our specialists frequently connect with the students regarding their file and their progress. Each specialist is assigned specific programs and/or campuses.
If you wish to meet with your specialist, we strongly suggest that you take the following steps:
- Visit the Specialist Self-Service Portal
- Select the school to which your program belongs
- Confirm your specialist’s name based on the information presented on the page
- Click to make an appointment with them.
You can also send a message to specialistes@collegeboreal.ca or call 705.560.6673 (1.800.361.6673), ext. 2198.
Do you need a copy of your official transcript? A transcript is an official document containing the seal and signature of the Registrar. It may be required when applying for admission to another post-secondary institution or when applying for a job.
You can request a transcript by completing the BAR-017 Form. There is a service fee for the production of transcripts.
Transcripts are usually sent directly to the recipient since, to be considered official, the envelope containing the transcript cannot be opened.
If you owe tuition or ancillary fees, the transcript will not be produced or sent until these are paid in full.
Please allow approximately five (5) working days in normal times and ten (10) working days in peak periods for your transcript to be processed following receipt of your request and payment of the fee. If your transcript is mailed to your employer or an institution, you must then allow time for delivery.
If you require your transcript to be translated, the College offers this service, but the turnaround time is longer; seven (7) business days in normal times and twelve (12) business days in peak periods.
Please note that you can access your grade summary at any time and free of charge from your student portal. The grade summary is not an official college document.
If you have any questions regarding your transcript and to pay your service fees, please contact the Admissions Office and Registrar at registrariat@collegeboreal.ca or 705-560-6673 (1-800-361-6673), ext. 2180.

You can access and download your tuition and ancillary fee invoices from the student portal.
Under the Fees tab, you can view your invoice, print it, and make a payment. Remember to select all applicable actions.
It is the student’s responsibility to take the necessary steps to pay their tuition fees before the due dates indicated in the Academic Calendar. Failure to do so may result in a late fee being added to your account or your account being frozen. In a wish to help students, the College offers various payment options.
Online payment option is available once the invoice has been uploaded to your file. Once the portal is ready to process online transactions, an email is sent. Students can use a credit card (Mastercard or Visa) or Visa Debit cards only, for online payments via the portal.
