Health Challenge – French Immersion Schools
26 February 2024 / 08:30:00 - 14:00:00
Collège Boréal Gymnasium (Centre sportif), 21 Lasalle boulevard, Sudbury
The day began with an enthusiastic reception from the Collège Boréal team as the schools arrived. Students were then guided through a well-paced program featuring informative presentations on the programs offered by the College’s School of Health Sciences. These presentations, led by specialists in the field, allowed students to explore the numerous career opportunities in healthcare and the advantages of pursuing post-secondary college studies in French.
Following the lunch break, students were divided into groups to participate in the Health Challenge. In the spirit of friendly competition, they tackled eight health-focused events, applying the skills and knowledge acquired during the presentations. Their commitment, cooperation, and energy were evident in every challenge, creating a sense of camaraderie and enthusiasm.
At the end of the day, the students left with a wealth of newfound knowledge, memorable experiences and, for some, well-deserved prizes for their outstanding performance during the Health Challenge.
In response to the positive feedback, the organizing committee is already planning a repeat of the event, aiming to continue inspiring future healthcare professionals in their French-language educational journey.
