Guidance counsellors from seven French-language school boards gather in Sudbury for Rendez-vous Boréal 2023
2 May 2023
More than thirty guidance counsellors from Eastern and Northern Ontario have gathered in Sudbury, at the invitation of Collège Boréal, to discuss various topics, including issues surrounding French-language college education in the province.
A roundtable discussion on the evolution of the college system and several workshops on Collège Boréal’s programs are being presented today and tomorrow at the Sudbury campus. Approximately 30 guidance counsellors from 23 schools in 20 communities across Eastern and Northern Ontario are attending this event to learn about the latest developments at the College and to participate in discussions surrounding issues such as the flexibility of college pathways and linguistic insecurity.
Our society has been undergoing profound transformations for more than a decade, and the postsecondary education sector must adapt. With seven campuses and employment services across many regions throughout the province, Collège Boréal is keenly aware of this reality, which directly affects Ontario’s youth. The College is delighted to be sharing its knowledge with the guidance counsellors attending this event.
