Collège Boréal ranks among Canada’s top 50 research colleges for the 3rd consecutive year
Research and Innovation Boréal (RIB), the college’s research office, has once again been recognized among Canada’s top 50 research colleges for 2024. This distinction highlights Boréal’s key role in fostering collaboration with community and industry partners.
During the 2023-2024 fiscal year, RIB advanced no fewer than 15 major projects across diverse sectors, including agriculture, forestry, construction, immigration, social innovation, early childhood, and mental health.
Thanks to collaborations with private and university partners, as well as funding from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC), the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC), the Ontario Innovation Centre, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, to name a few, RIB has delivered impactful projects. These include promoting food self-sufficiency in northern communities, developing additional bilingual educational resources, and supporting Indigenous communities in reclaiming the natural resources of their ancestral lands.
