Collège Boréal in Toronto: Four exceptional ceremonies for an outstanding cohort!
Graduates were all smiles as they received their diplomas from President Daniel Giroux, who was visibly pleased to be able to present them in person. This was the first in-person ceremony in 2 years. In all, 153 people will receive a diploma or a certificate from Collège Boréal during one of the 4 ceremonies organized to celebrate the event.
A look back at two very emotional years
Each ceremony gave rise to touching moments: parents exclaiming with joy and celebrating the success of their children, or a mother beaming with pride at having achieved a set goal. The graduates’ speeches were filled with gratitude, encouragement and hope. Practical Nursing graduate Astria Maway Gansia thanked her professors for their support. She also spoke about her vocation as a nurse, which she is looking forward to: “I am excited and eager to put my knowledge into practice. To help others and make a difference, especially in this particular situation the world has been going through for three years now.”
Governor General’s Academic Medal
The Governor General’s Academic Medal, awarded to a full-time student who has achieved the highest grade point average in a two-year degree program, was awarded this year to Gabriella Varagnolo, a graduate of the Child Care Education program in Windsor.
