Health Care and Episodic Health Issues

In this course, you will look at how patients and their families experience health care and recovery during episodic health issues. You will explore physiological, pathophysiological and psychosocial concepts for specific human systems and related nursing care. Using an evidence-based, equity-focused, trauma-informed approach, you will be able to fully understand what it means to experience illness from a range of patient perspectives. We will place a special focus on collaboration, critical thinking, problem solving, health education and health promotion.
