Our approach is based on communicative and experiential teaching and learning methods which rely on and can directly be applied to the realities of everyday life.

This program provides solid theoretical and practical training in French as a second language which allows the student to acquire the interaction skills necessary for their professional development. Our approach is based on communicative and experiential teaching and learning methods which rely on and can directly be applied to the realities of everyday life.
This program is designed to meet the needs of beginners as well as the advanced students. Courses are delivered according to specific learning outcomes for each training level, ensuring a continuous learning process while focusing on participants’ communication needs, learning styles, past knowledge, interests and abilities. Throughout the program, students will learn the grammatical structures as well as the vocabulary required for their professional and personal activities. They will also be introduced to French culture and francophone communities. After successful completion of the program, students will be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written French.
Level Descriptions
Beginner (3 Levels)
Learn the basics of the French language and use the most common expressions in everyday living. Start by conjugating verbs in the present tense and then move on to the past and the future tenses as well. At the end of this level you will be able to communicate and be ready to advance a notch above as you continue to build your fluency
Intermediate (3 Levels)
Now the fun begins. New verb tenses that do not exist in English will amaze you. At the end of this level you will be able to participate with ease in almost any conversation and write complex sentences.
Advanced (3 Levels)
Your journey towards fluency is almost complete. In this level you will learn how to express yourself in French in a more complex way. At the end of this level you will think, speak and write in French.

Use it, don’t lose it! Practice what you have learned, converse on different topics, watch movies, go on a field trip and explore the best kept secret French places in town. Maintain your French at the highest level. We will be proud to honour you with your Certificate.

Schedule by Location
This program is divided into 10 courses designed to enable you to learn French quickly, regardless of your level. While each of the courses stands alone, the levels provide you with a building block approach to learning the language easily. After successful completion of the program, you will receive a Collège Boréal French as a Second Language certificate.
*Participants are responsible to have access to a computer, the Internet and a headset.

A complete refund is provided if the course is cancelled by the College. A partial refund (the cost of the course minus administration fees of $10) is provided up to 10 days after the course’s start date.
