This continuing education program consisting of three part-time courses allows professionals in the field to support the development of skills making it possible to put into practice the best recruitment, orientation, and career growth support strategies for the delivery of programs that align with the vision of the Early Learning and Child Care Framework.
Program Courses
In this course, students learn concepts and skills related to planning for staffing needs, preparing job descriptions, drafting a job offer, interviewing, hiring staff and onboarding and integrating new employees into the team and the organization.
In this course, students will develop the skills needed to support and manage team members to produce a shared vision and high-quality programs. The course will cover various staff performance management strategies and the connection between staff recruitment and onboarding, quality management, the performance review cycle and continuous professional development.
In this course, students will become aware of supervision and management responsibilities in early childhood education. In particular, we will look at how to handle employee records, and how to motivate and support your staff and team. We will also review current standards of professional ethics and employment standards.
